Promotiontools has taken upon itself to get involved in a
number of areas. At the moment, we are supporting two
exceptional athletes on their way to the Summer
Olympics in Beijing.
Commitment Judo
Judo, literally 'the gentle way', is a discipline that enjoys
the reputation of a fair, positive and pioneering sport:
rules are obeyed, and the opponent is respected before,
during and after the fight.
Sergei Aschwanden
Sergei Aschwanden, from the canton of Uri, has been
Swiss and European champion several times – and he
took a place on the podium at the World Judo
Championships in 2001 and 2003.
Now 32, he is going to Brazil this September to take part
in the World Judo Championships – and if he manages to
achieve a ranking among the first five, that qualifies him
to take part in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Lena Göldi
Lena Göldi qualified for the European Judo Championships
at the age of just 14. The girl from Bern has notched up a
long list of successes: either the winner or a runner-up
at four Super World Cup tourna-ments in 2004 and
2007, she was also runner-up at the European
Championships in 2003 – and has been Swiss champion
several times.
Göldi’s supreme ambition is to take part in the 2008
Summer Olympics in Beijing. To do so she must achieve a
ranking among the first five in a total of 13 qualifying
tournaments. Promotion-tools is keeping its fingers
crossed for her: we wish her every success.
